Bishops Hull– your local Conservative Councillor

Nigel Stuart-Thorn

As your District Councillor for the last 4 years, I am involved in many voluntary bodies, including CVS Victim Support and Citizens Advice Bureau, and work tirelessly for the Taunton Deane Borough Council tenants who live within the ward.

I helped establish a surgery for the electorate in Bishops Hull. I am a founder member of the Taunton & Wellington Pensioners Forum and am involved in making people more aware of Prostrate Cancer.  As a Governor of Castle School I am concerned that the athletic facilities need to be improved. 

Nigel’s objectives are:

· To encourage Council Tax increases to be no more than inflation and preferably less

· To try to ensure that Council Tax payers get value for money

· Support affordable housing schemes in the right areas

· Make refuse collection environmentally friendly

· Encourage more Police on the streets
