Cliff Bishop

Cliff is married and has lived in the area all his life. He was educated at Oake School and Huish Grammar School, Taunton. He is a retired Civil Servant.

Has served on Taunton Deane Borough Council since the local government reorganisation in 1974, and for the past four years has been the Executive Councillor for Planning Policy and Transportation.

He is a Member of Oake Parish Council and is currently Chairman. Cliff is also Vice President of the Somerset Association of Local Councils, a member of the management committee of Oake and District Village Hall, and a member of the Somerset Panel of Postwatch.

Since 1994 he has been Chairman of the South West region branch of ROOMatRTPI (formerly the National Council for Housing and Planning), and a member of the Chairpersons Panel for School Admission Appeals.
