Bob Bowrah BEM

Bob, who is married with 3 children and 3 grandchildren, has been a District and Town Councillor for the Ward since 1999.

He is a member of Taunton Deane’s Housing Review Panel, Vice Chairman of the Basins Volunteer Group and has been Treasurer of the Blackdown Sea Angling Club for the last 15 years.  He is on a variety of other committees.

He is a keen gardener, captains a Pool Team and plays in the local Dart Team.

Bob’s objectives as a Taunton Deane Councillor are:

· Promoting and working for the development of Swains Lane

· Encouraging more CCTV and Police on the streets

· Keeping the Council Tax increases no more than inflation and if possible lower

· Supporting affordable housing schemes in the right areas

· Making our refuse collections even more environmentally friendly

· The tidying up of Cornhill and keeping the streets free of litter

· Supporting the local economy including the development of Wellington as a Food Town
